Caring for Caregivers: The financial impact of medical debt

Chronic medical issues are often quite disruptive not only in the person’s life, but also on their finances.

Here are some ways that you can do both:

By negotiating a realistic payment plan, you can spread out your payments over time, making it more manageable to settle your medical debt.

Some hospitals and healthcare facilities offer financial aid or charity care programs based on income levels. Additionally, there may be local community resources or non-profit organizations that provide support for individuals burdened by medical expenses.
